In my observation out on social media and in the mainstream media, abortion is a key issue and a major motivational point where the God of the Hebrew Bible is slandered by the left. By in large, "Progressive Christians" are pro-choice and support abortion (please see my other post about the false gospel of Progressive Christianity). I am also seeing anti-theists justifying abortion and they continually bring up the same verses justifying abortion. I'm under the notion that Biblical Scripture is a major obstacle to them so the need to undermine it (and demonize those who follow traditional scripture). You will see memes like this out on social media.
I could write my own dissertation as to why that is propaganda but apologists have already done that in several articles so I'll just pass along the information.
As per the comments you may hear that say "God breaths life into the nostrils" to support abortion, that was only for Adam because there was no human on the earth at that time. After Adam and Eve were created, life was always created thru man and woman with the only exception being the virgin Mary.
As a teaser to the above article (which I hope you read), it starts out with:
There are two main passages that often come up for discussion in this context, Exodus 21:22-25 and Numbers 5:11-31. But upon close examination, neither of them supports a pro-abortion position in the least.
If you are pro-life and are given the above verses by someone who tells you that abortion is justified by God *and* you don't know how to defend your stance as biblical, I hope the above helps (there are more articles).
