Homosexuality : What the Bible says about it (not what I say about it).

Updated: Aug 11, 2023

Disclaimer and honest truth: In no way/shape or form am I saying I am a picketer/protester and hater of homosexuals. I love all people. This is a very difficult one to write about as some will assume one is a bigot or a phobe when all they're doing is showing what the Bible says about it in a loving way. I had a good friend (who died 2 years ago RIP) who was a homosexual and we got along. He knew I was straight and I knew he was gay so we never discussed anything related to that. We just discussed sports, politics, music and world events. I have no desire to promote hate (nor hate myself) homosexuals. I know a lady who is bisexual and has a live in girlfriend/partner. I get along great with her. Having said that, this post is just an explanation of what the Bible says about homosexuality. I don't wish anyone to interpret that this post is hate speech (it's very easy for others to do so) as this is purely scripture. "Progressive Christianity" believes that many types of immoral sexuality is not a sin. This is all about the Biblical view (not left or right wing) on the topic.

All sinners (no matter the sin(s)) will be embraced to come and join to worship God. But from a biblical standpoint, any kind of sin that the bible refers to cannot be affirmed. Please see right here.

One argument that you may hear is that there are many species of animals that practice homosexuality. That is true but see what this says about it.

Others will argue that Jesus never mentioned "homosexuality" and therefore think it's not a sin. The problem with that is that Jesus never said "hacking into a bank's computer" is a sin and he never said rape was a sin, etc.. The way to approach this is to take what he said was "sexual MORALITY" and anything outside of that spectrum is "sexual immorality" and thus a sin.

This post is a wonderful source along with the video which I include here

22 “ ‘Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable.

27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

In the old testament days where instructions were delivered to Moses and his people:

13 “ ‘If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.

9 Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men

10 for the sexually immoral, for those practicing homosexuality, for slave traders and liars and perjurers—and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine

There's more. I'll leave it to you to explore the link I included above.

In no way, shape or form is this "homophobic" or "transphobic" if biblically sound scholars/believers don't wish to have that lifestyle inflicted on our children. They have every right to be a non-believer and to live the lifestyle that they want. Most biblically sound Christians accept them (I certainly do). But we don't agree with the churches who are bowing down to non-biblical reasoning in order to become "correct with the world" rather than "correct with God". You will never see me at any anti-pride protest. You will never see me getting hostile to homosexuals and transsexuals. I accept everyone's choice/belief. I just draw the line when they penetrate the word of God as well as when they push their belief in a big big way to K-8th grade in our public schools using taxpayer $. No problem if they want to do that in a private school. And yes, I had a gay friend who was a great guy but he passed away 3 years ago. I refuse to accept the label of "homophobic" or "transphobic" simply because I choose to follow the word of God. One could argue that those who label us that are "biblephobic" and/or Godphobic and/or Christianphobic. Nowhere in the New Testament does Jesus call on us to hate sinful people. We can hate the sin and love the people.

This video explains the politically/wordly impact on many churches who are foregoing the word of God in order to avoid being bullied by the left. Sin is sin whether it is theft, adultery, lying, murder, homosexuality, blaspheming, etc.. Churches are not being pressured by the world of the left to promote theft, lying, murder, etc.. But there is a sin that the churches are not being pressured to cave into. This whole thing of merging marxism, non-biblical worldly views into Christianity and the word of God is only destroying Christianity. The bible has several passages that refer to those who alter/twist scripture. Doesn't make bible believe Christians "homophobic or transphobic or hateful or bigoted". IHMO, that's just a tactic to pressure bible-believing Christians/Churches to undermine the word of God just to give into the word of the world. We still have friends who are homosexuals, etc.. I, personally, would rather be labeled by the left as a "homophobic/transphobic or a bigot"(all 3 not true) because I don't wish to accept an "altered word of God" rather than offending God himself. As per anyone who's offended with some who have boycotted Target and Anheuser Busch, this is a free market and free choice. Churches and religions are being boycotted by the left in the same way and I'm not upset (I'm sad though) and they have every right to do that. You won't see us over-reacting to their boycotts. Everyone has freedom to choose what products they want to buy and from where. Until that changes, we should respect everyone/s else's boycotts instead of trying to shame them with unjustifiable accusations.

For any of the churches/ministers/preachers/priests/pastors that are willing to allow scripture that they preach to be altered/modified to be "correct with the world" rather than "correct with God", they should ask themselves: What will happen at judgement day when they go before God/Jesus and are asked "Why have you misrepresented me and preached the word which is not my word?".
